LINDBERGH JV WINS BIG!!!! @ Rockwood Summit

On Sunday Night @ the Affton Barn, Our Lindbergh JV Flyers showed up from the drop of the first puck and had Summit on their heels. With a number of fans and students in the stands the team and chants were electrifying for a late Sunday Night game.

In net for the Lindbergh Flyers Joe Williams and for Summit Aiden Bosek. By the end of the night one of these goalies was going to feel like a late night pick up game goalie with over 20 odd man rushes and multiple break-aways throughout the game.

Breaking the 0-0 tie and only 1:53 into the game Mark FIsher lights the lamp after a slick pass from Stephens and a little over a minute later Patrick Bartz potted goal #2 after a bang-bang play from Hadziselmovic and Anderson. Lindbergh 2-0. After  a few missteps Summit was able to score on Williams @ 4:19 of the period followed a short time later by GOAL #1 on the evening for Dennis Hadziselmovic, assisted by Fisher and Stephens.  Lindbergh 3-1. Summit would add another goal @ 8:59 of the period unassisted by Martin after a galf in the defensive zone.

In the second period the play slowed down with saves by both Williams and Bozek. And at the 10:01 mark Alex Ringhofer skated end to end and potted the puck glove side just over the left pad of Bosek in net, with the assist and 3rd of the night to Jack Stephens.. Summit was kept off the board in the second period by WIlliams who had a great game going through 2 periods.

By the middle of the 3rd period Summit was just flat out being out worked.  Hadziselmovic potted his second goal of the game @ 1:41 and missed the HAT TRICK a few minutes later with a HARD SLAPPER off the cross bar that bounced out...  his goal was assited by Jake Williams.  Lindbergh 5-2... And the final tally of the game and 4 point night was capped by Jack Stephens @ 6:26 of the period with a shot and score assisted by Tommy Wagner.

This was a full team effort and great game from puck drop the the final whistle.

    #2 - Hadziselmovic - 2G

At the 3:11 mark Brett Behrens put the puck in the back of the net on a pass from Cole Kersting. As the balance of the play was in the Eureka end through out the end and beginning on the 2nd period the Eureka goalie was putting on a bit of a show with 17 saves in the first period or this game would have ben out of control early. At the beginning of the second period the shots on net didn't slow down and @ 4:50 of the period after a pass from his brother Sam Hazelton, John Hazelton slapped in a bomb from the point with the second assist and second on the night to Cole Kersting.
